About Peter Drey
Peter Drey, AIA, ASLA, LEED BD+C, is the principal architect at D+E.
His career includes home design, urban design, and mixed-use projects across the United States and the world.
Home Design
Peter designs homes that are carefully sited, comfortable, and deeply connected to their surroundings. Each home is crafted as a unique response to its site and the people who live there.
Peter's designs value clarity, natural light, and thoughtful outdoor spaces, so the home fits both its space and the needs of everyday life.
Urban Design
Urban design has been a central part of Peter's career, including in Atlanta, where he lives and practices.
He has designed significant civic projects, including streetscapes, bridges, transit, and parks to create places that are functional and memorable.
Overseas
Working overseas expanded Peter's perspective on design and deepened his interest in ecology and public space. In South Korea, he worked on ecological, institutional, and corporate projects, including Daewoo's headquarters.
Education
Peter Drey earned degrees from Tulane University and the University of Georgia in architecture and landscape architecture.
His studies emphasized the relationship between people and place, training him to envision architecture as part of a social and environmental system.
